The Williamstown Amateur Players was formed in 1981 when a group of young mums performed Cinderella to raise money for the local Primary school. The first pantomime was written and directed by Hilda Foad, our founding member who is still a member today. About 20 ladies meet each Tuesday morning from the beginning of March through to October. All of the scripts have been written and directed by our members. Most of the funds are donated to various charities and to the Williamstown Memorial Hall (our home). Each year in October we have 6 public performances plus special performances for seniors groups, and for local
schools to introduce children to 'live' theatre.
