Vitalstatistix exists to support, curate and produce high quality, provocative and challenging live performance; engage and entertain diverse audiences and contribute to Australian culture.
Vitals supports the creation and presentation of new work across all art forms including visual arts, performance, dance, new media, literature and hybrid projects. Established in 1984, the company was founded on the vision of a theatre company for women’s voices and stories. Vitals is proud of these strong foundations and continue to support bold and enterprising theatre-making. Vitals aims to be a nucleus and a platform, assisting artists from emerging to mid-career. Emphasis is on providing informal skills-sharing and the development of stronger networks, linked to Vitals' year-round calendar of collaborations and presentations.
Based at Waterside Hall in the historic precinct of Port Adelaide, Vitalstatistix has become a vital and persuasive advocate for women and women's issues, presenting and producing theatre that is dynamic, ideas based, innovative in form and content, with wide audience appeal.
