Purr Productions is raw, riotous, raucous. Purr is a partnership between
Amy and Rocky Murphy-Higgins, and opened in June 2006.
Purr Productions runs workshops and creates performances with diverse
groups of people from around Australia, including those who experience
disadvantage, people with mental health issues, women who have survived
physical and/or sexual abuse, recent refugees, music and drama students,
children, and young people. Amy and Rachelle present the monthly Perve
at La Boheme, a showcase of wild, wacky, sweet, and soulful acts by
female artists at La Boheme. Since moving to Adelaide in 2007, Purr has
produced The Vagina Monologues to a sell-out crowd, and created several
new works including Community Cultural Development performances, a short
film, and a children's show.
