The undisputed Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin will be honoured by Australia's own soul diva, Christine Anu in the brand new shoe REWIND - The Aretha Franklin Songbook.
In this must-see performance, Anu conjures soulful interpretations of Aretha's most memorable songs including the signature tunes Respect and (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Women as well as Think, Chain of Fools, Today I Sing the Blues, Rock Steady, Bridge Over Troubled Water and many other unfortable classic melodies.

I truly believe she is the greatest soul singer of our time!' says Anu, who provides all the grace, glitz and vocals of a true diva and is sure to captivate audiences from the start.
Anu will tour REWIND - The Aretha Franklin Songbook in 2012 to coincide with Aretha Franklin's 70th Birthday and the release of an album of the same title.
Australia's Iconic Indigenous Entertainer, Christine Anu has been delighting Australian audiences for two decades with an award-winning repertoire spanning across music, theatre, dance, film, television and children's entertainment and has garnered accolades in all quarters of show business, including a Green Room Awardfor Best Actress in a Musical for Rentand the Judith Johnson Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical at the 2010 Sydney Theatre Awards.Anu is also a multi-ARIA nominee and recipient, including 1995 Song of the Yearfor My Island Home, 1996 Best Female Artist for Stylin Up and 1998 Best Video for Bazmark's Now Until the Break of Day with David Hobson. Anu is also an eight-time Deadly Award recipient.
During an illustrious career spanning more than two decades, Christine has amassed a multitude of achievements, including platinum albums, sell-out musicals, Hollywood blockbusters, and high-profile collaborations with showbiz and musical luminaries such as Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge), Paul Kelly and David Atkins.
2012 is gearing up to be a very busy year for Anu, with a return to television with a starring role in the ABC 1 comedy series Outland and as a celebrity contestant in the prime-time Nine Network reality series Excess Baggage.
For this special tour, Christine will be joined on stage by Women of Soul - Starring Miss Min and Evie J Willie.
