Written By: Thornton Wilder
Directed By: Paula Little

First produced and published in 1938, this Pulitzer Prize–winning drama of life in the small village of Grover’s Corners is an American classic. The play celebrates eighty years in print this year and heralds the start of Prince Alfred College's sesquicentenary celebrations in 2019. Described by Edward Albee as "...the greatest American play ever written," the story follows a small, close-knit community in New Hampshire. Narrated by a Stage Manager and performed with minimal props, an Adelaide audience will experience the shock of recognition in the Webb and Gibbs families. This is a play that will make you reflect and realise what truly matters in life.
