Written By: Sophocles and adapted by Loucas Loizou
Directed By: Loucas Loizou

Sophocle's 2500 year old Tragedy remains the BEST PLOT of all times!
Prior to the start of Oedipus Rex, Oedipus has become the king of Thebes while unwittingly
fulfilling a prophecy that he would kill his father, Laius (the previous king), and marry his
mother, Jocasta (whom Oedipus took as his queen after solving the riddle of the Sphinx).
In Loucas Loizou's adaptation there are three main characters appearing.
The priest representing the chorus who tells of the story with a monologue and five original songs especially written with lyrics emphasizing the story.
The songs are performed with classical guitar accompaniment.
The second character is the blind prophet Tiresias with a long monologue.
The third character is the blinded Oedipus.
