University of South Australia
Hartley Playhouse

Directed By: Jaye Syson & Cienna Whitton

Codename: Mimic is a multimedia theatre production that questions everything, who are we? What makes us who we are? Who controls us? A profound weaving structure and real people’s stories come together in a science fiction setting to explore exciting and terrifying ideas. Prepare to witness a world where tattoos can let people relive memories, a remote that can control your emotions, and a wild rave full of different versions of the same person.

With an amazing cast of talented performers and creators this show pushes the limits on what to expect from a production. The relatable stories blend with the science fiction setting to confront, question and amuse. Combined with the astounding special effects, media displays and interactive confrontations creates a performance with each aspect complimenting the others and directly questioning the audience’s own beliefs.
