Shakespeare’s famous literary masterpiece, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, follows Hermia, Demetrius, Lysander and Helena; four young lovers who venture into the enchanted woods filled with fairies and sprites. While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their friends presenting a play within a play. Against the backdrop of the wedding of Duke Theseus and Hippolyta, and the fiery battle of wills between Oberon and Titania, the four lovers are challenged by magic and mischief. The cheeky, trouble-making Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most beguiling comedy.

Hills Youth Theatre commenced in 1986 and is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers. The classes are held in the wonderful Stirling Community Theatre. HYT produce three productions per year: the June production for students from junior youth to senior youth; the August production for senior students and the January production involving all youth and senior students. Hills Youth Theatre is home to over 90 students who attend weekly classes to better their skills in drama and performance.
