Directed By: Karina Black
An absurdist comedy, telling the story of Argan, a hypochondriac. Argan wants to marry his daughter off to the dreary Thomas Diafoirus who is soon to be a doctor. Having a doctor in the family would be beneficial for a hypochondriac! However, Angelique is in love with Cleante (whom she has only just met) and wants to marry him. In the meantime, Beline, Argan’s second wife, is plotting to gain all of Angelique’s inheritance. A comedy of errors interspersed with the suffering of a man not actually dying.
