The Deadwood City stage coach is comin' to town, driven by that gun-toting, hard-riding, sharp-talking Calamity Jane, whose nickname comes from her declaration that a great calamity would befall any man who offended her. Her boasting brings her to Chicago to recruit an actress for the Golden Garter stage. In an attempt to lure a handsome Army lieutenant away from another woman, Jane trades in her gunslinging and uniforms for housekeeping and dresses, and wins the affections of Wild Bill instead. The film, released in 1953, starring Doris Day as Calamity Jane, won an Academy Award for its song “Secret Love”. Other famous songs include “Black Hills of Dakota”, “Deadwood Stage” and “Windy City”.

Trish Spence will play the sharp shooting, sharp talking, Calamity Jane!

Suitable for the whole family, this energetic “Golden Oldie” will have you in stitches.
