Review by Maggie Wood

Two geeks meet at a convention – two Whovians looking for fun, and who find so much more.

This show satisfies on a few levels. First there are the copious amounts of references to popular culture, mostly sci-fi. Then there is the portrayal of two people who happen to love living in fandom without belittling or looking down on the pastime. Third are the highly satisfying dialogues on gender prejudice in the comic-con arena and the need everyone has for a place in the world. Lastly it’s all done with wit, affection and definitely played for laughs.

Robert Lloyd is superb as Gene, with his portrayal of the ultimate geek – awkward yet kind – and Jennifer Lusk is winning as the girl.

If you love Dr Who, if you love humour, popular movies and TV shows, wit and romance with a twist, get along there quickly – you’re running out of that wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff!
