Review by Jamie Wright

Jane thinks she's 16 because the last thing she remembers is her 16th birthday party. Her therapist,Susan, has to try and explain that she's been in a coma for 24 years.

Funny and moving in parts; Jo Webb (Jane) is good - and very believable - as a 16-year-old trapped in a40-year-old's body. Maxine Grubel (Susan) is at ease on stage as the engaging-in-methods-more-suitedto-Hollywood-than-reality therapist, but struggles a little with lines. Despite these solid performances, though, the story tends to be somewhat repetitive and drags along at a sluggish pace that underminesthe interesting aspects.

If writer/director Tony Moore can trim it a little and tighten it to increase the pace, it will be a muchbetter show. Audiences may also wish to skip reading the programme beforehand; in this reviewer'sopinion the synopsis reveals one of the more interesting plot points and diminishes the potential impact.
