Perfect for the intimacy of the front room at La Bohème, these two nostalgic shows celebrated the music of the 1960s. Shelley Dunstone demonstrated her fascination with Brazilian music through Lani Hall, who became the lead singer of Herb Alpert’s Brasil 66. The second show featured Alison Kimber, who grew up idolising the female singers of the 60s – including Petula Clark, Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield and Nancy Sinatra. Keeping it all together was brilliant pianist Brendan Fitzgerald.

It was an hour well spent. Shelley Dunstone has an engaging style and told the story of Lani Hall with warmth and respect. The second half of the show with Alison Kimber brought the well-known ladies of the sparkling sixties to life and had the audience ‘grooving’ to the well-known songs. A thoroughly interesting and enjoyable show.
