Review by Aaron MacDonald

There’s a reason why Sesame Street achieved such mammoth success and longevity over its contemporaries (and even shows today): it was multilayered, written to entertain not only children, but their parents who would invariably be watching with them.

“Scaredy Kat” achieves the same; I laughed more in this show than I did in a lot of stand-up comedy this Fringe.

It’s not particularly complex. Kat is scared of going to bed, because of the spooky noises in her room; the noises are made by the furniture, which comes to life when she’s not around.

It’s tremendously entertaining; song, dance, physical comedy and lots of poxy light and sound.

I could go on, but there’s really only one review that matters – an entire audience of children with huge, beaming smiles at the end of the show.
