Review by Talia Gaertner-Jones

If you’re looking for a show to purely entertain then “Prohibition” is for you! Set in Gluttony’s The Speakeasy, the theme is the 1920s, with performers just trying to make a living without getting shut down. Music and costumes, and set in a tent, fit the theme nicely.

Performance artists from Germany, Sweden, Argentina, Sweden, Canada, America and Australia showcase their routines with magic, acrobatics, humour and singing. You will find yourself laughing at the ping pong, balloon artist, Dado the Hump, watching in amazement at the card tricks of Detective Dirk Darrow and left holding your breath while Caz Walsh does her acrobatics and balancing acts.

This show has a little bit of everything rolled into one. If you’re looking for variety and entertainment experienced together in a single show, “Prohibition” is for you!
