“Jamie Mykaela’s Napoleon Complex” is not for the narrow-minded or faint hearted. Her persona from the beginning is brash, bold and ‘out there’, but we soon learn that this bravado is a result of rejection and disappointment. However, none of this defines her as a performer – she is incredibly likeable and warm and a powerhouse of talent. Charming, funny, an exceptionally good singer and musician with a talent for storytelling. Her retelling of her experience on X Factor as a teenager is a delight and endears her to the enraptured audience.

Jamie’s show includes a natural talent for storytelling, ukulele playing, great singing, ping pong balls and ,‘almost’ nudity, but it is her immensely likeable personality that endears her to her audience. It seems a shame that someone so talented has to use so many ‘tricks’ to sell herself. However, she is clearly enjoying herself and this readily translates to her audience.

Not for the squeamish, but this talented young woman deserves to be recognised and applauded.
