Love can be exciting, adventurous and passionate, but also filled with pain. Emily Andersen’s “Love in the key of Britpop” demonstrates this with great articulation.

The story is that of Melbourne based Justine, an avid fan of Blur, Oasis and other British pop icons who defined the 1990s. When Justine meets British backpacker Damon in an indie pub in Melbourne, their connection is instantaneous. They quickly develop a relationship so strong that 'anti-marriage' Justine marries Damon in order for him to remain by her side. Their story ends in tragedy, but offers hope for life after love.

Emily Andersen is a fine story teller as she weaves beautiful words to tell a tale of love. An empty stage and a single actor dressed in black and simply speaking is a risk, but Andersen managed to have the audience hanging on every word she said. Her honesty and fragility made her performance all the more believable.

Be sure to share in this great story and immerse yourself into a love story that spans decades and countries.
