Using a familiar format – singer plus accompanist who provides backing vocals and some banter – “He’s Every Woman” sees Justin Clausen and Jamie Burgess combine for an hour of hilarious, high-energy cabaret that has a few aspects to set it apart from the usual standard.

Featuring songs from a wide range of divas including Tinas both Turner and Arena, Olivia Newton-John, Cher and Celine Dion – amongst others – the songs are interspersed with crowd interaction and no small amount of snarky banter (of the most mildly barbed kind) between the two, who have an excellent rapport.

Both share stories about how they developed their love for musical divas at a young age, and the importance of music throughout their lives. What is mostly a comedic tone takes goes in a more serious direction at one point, but it still works, mostly thanks to how well the duo have worked to build a relationship with the audience.

While not breaking any new ground – and could perhaps benefit from a stronger narrative structure, or even some further explanation of the song choices – it’s a fun show from two likeable, talented performers who know their stuff.
