FULL ENGLISH The Austral Hotel Until 13 Mar 2011 Review by Jamie Wright Being forced to wait outside in the cold for an extra thirty minutes as the venue is made ready isn'tcompletely unknown for a Fringe show; that such discomfort precedes a show with almost entirely noredeeming features, however, is. Rueben Lee is up first, and his jokes elicit more groans than guffaws; his material is dated and unfunnyand he lacks presence. Danny McChrystal performs the second half of the set; he is a better performerbut still speaks far too slowly and also uses old, tired material that gets few positive responses from theaudience. The late start meant that I had to leave before the end to get to another show; while it's thereforepossible that the quality improved significantly after I left, I'd be very, very surprised if it did. Send this plate of 'full English' back to the kitchen; it's an underdone and unpalatable meal. Rating: 0.5 stars (out of 5)
