FROLIC AND FOLLIES Gluttony Until 17 Mar 2019 Review by John Wells Presented at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe Festival Sequins! Skin! Feathers! Sweat and spray tans! Gyrating beauties whipped into a wonderfully choreographed frenzy! It’s all there in “Frolic and Follies”, an all-singin’-all-dancin’ production from Adelaide dance studio Precizion Dance. It’s a simple formula: dance numbers with a backing track and some live singing along the way. Big smiles, big attitude, colourful costumes and excellent ensemble dancing from a troupe of athletic and winsome performers. The music is poppy but pedestrian (Abba, Madonna, even a touch of Tina Turner - you get the idea), and some of the live singing wavers in pitch. But there is wonderful sense of fun. This is breezy, fun and undemanding light entertainment. Rating 2.5 stars (out of 5)
