Review by Jamie Wright

Welcome to a day in the life of Telia Neville. Awkward, outcast, misunderstood by her teachers andalways last picked for sports in PE. How does she cope?

Why, poetry – of course.

This short, snappy show takes the form of a series of short poems (and one rap), each corresponding toa period of the school day – home room, Biology, English, Literature, PE, Psychology, lunch and soforth. Ruminations on friendship, crushes on the teacher, and the other tribulations of a life spentoutside of the in-crowd.

The poems are excellent – clever and funny and full of literary in-jokes. Neville’s performance isengaging and genuine, and it’s almost impossible to not be drawn back to one’s own experiences of highschool. Well, unless you were one of the cool kids…

Quirky, insightful and entertaining – a unique experience.
