ATG "CURTAIN CALL" AWARDS NOMINATIONS 2008/2009

The ATG is pleased to announce the nominees for its 2008/2009 "Curtain Call" Awards.

The list reflects an extremely high calibre of show, performer and technical artist.

We congratulate each nominee. They can be proud of this achievement irrespective of the final outcome on August 8 when the winners are announced.

In the “Best Show” category, we look at the complete package (i.e. excellent entertainment, high production values, perhaps with a unique element e.g. it takes a risk, tries something new or gives a freshness to something that is traditionally the same every time). Individual awards have achieved an overall high standard, are particularly memorable and have contributed significantly to the quality of live theatre in South Australia.

This year, we have narrowed our criteria for the “Best Show” category, limiting eligible shows to those that have originated in South Australia. On top of this, a new category has been introduced: “Best Ensemble”, an award for excellence in acting and performance across the whole cast of a production.

Tickets are selling well for the Gala Dinner and "Curtain Call" Awards on 8 August 2009. Click here for booking details.
