NEW "CURTAIN CALL" AWARDS CATEGORY
NOMINATIONS FOR "Most Popular Show" 2007 HAVE NOW CLOSED.
The annual ATG "Curtain Call" Awards nominations will be announced 30 May 2007 after the deliberations of the reviewer panel... but what do you think is the best show for 06/07?
This year a new category "Most Popular Show" will be added, where you have a say! A shortlist of popular choices will be announced with all other nominations and everyone will vote in June to determine the winner... but first, we need a list of nominees.
Which show sticks out in your memory? Which show had the lot - good performances, great direction, excellent sets and lighting, etc? Was it unique, risky, interesting, dynamic, the best you've seen in ages?
Shows nominated must be performed between June 1, 2006 and May 20, 2007. The company presenting must be Australian and can be professional, amateur, community, schools, etc - all in together, just the best thing you have seen all year!
To suggest a show for the nomination shortlist, email info@theatreguide.com.au with "Most Popular Show Nomination" in the subject, and the show title, company presenting and venue of the performance in the body of the email. You can nominate as many shows as you like, but only one nomination per show per email address... the shows with the most nominations will be shortlisted to win the award (nominations close May 25, 2007).
So put your thinking caps on, keep your eyes peeled and tell your theatre-loving colleagues to join us in recognising excellence in live theatre for Adelaide... more awards info to come in the near future.
