ADELAIDE THEATRE GUIDE SEEKING DONATIONS

The 2008 Adelaide Theatre Guide Curtain Call Awards are fast approaching and we are seeking donations to assist in making this event one not to be missed!

The Adelaide Theatre Guide has been South Australia's primary internet resource for live theatre since 1996 and is used extensively by local patrons and tourists alike. It has won numerous awards and now also acts as the official website of the Theatre Association of South Australia (TASA) Inc. Currently the site boasts over 7,000 hits per day on average covering a wide variety of theatre including Drama, Musicals, Comedy and more.

The ATG is a non-profit organisation, maintained and managed by volunteers, providing a cultural service to the community.

The Adelaide Theatre Guide Curtain Call Awards recognise excellence in live theatre giving awards for best musical, drama, comedy, individual performances and technical skill. The Curtain Call Awards are an opportunity to celebrate live theatre and its value to the Adelaide Community.

Each event has a professional MC and the MC for 2008 is Justin Hamilton. The Curtain Call Awards will be held on 2 August 2008 at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

The Awards night showcases the best in Adelaide talent and is considered one of the best annual events for the theatre community in Adelaide including professional and amateur performers, producers and supporters.

We are seeking donations in an effort to keep ticket prices as low as possible to ensure accessibility for everyone in the community. Your contribution will ensure the longevity of this event as an annual tradition that recognises the hard work of everyone in the industry.

MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION!

We would like to invite you to become a supporter of the Curtain Call Awards by making a tax deductible donation to the Australia Cultural Fund, operated by the Australia Business Arts Foundation.

This Fund was established to encourage people to donate to the arts and to enable not-for-profit groups like The Adelaide Theatre Guide to benefit from this generosity. All donations are made to the Australia Business Arts Foundation (AbaF) which then considers donor preferences when allocating grants. In the past three years more than $2 million has been donated to AbaF and granted to 270 artists and cultural organisations - it is a great program for groups like ours.

Click here to access a donation form which you can complete and return to AbaF. Please feel free to call Daniela Cirocco on 0402 215 310 for more information on the event, or for more information on AbaF's Australia Cultural Fund visit http://www.abaf.org.au/index.php?action=contacts&search=Search&order=use.
