What are the ATG "Curtain Call" Awards?

The ATG "Curtain Call" awards have become an institution! It is an annual event anticipated by Adelaide's theatre community - both professional and amateur. The night is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the efforts of the Adelaide theatre community, network with others in the industry and reunite with colleagues of past and present.

This year we are celebrating TEN YEARS of presenting this night of theatre celebration to the Adelaide theatre community - and we look forward to you joining us for a very special evening at our new venue, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre!

Let this years Adelaide Theatre Guide Awards take you under the Big Top and allow our Ring Masters, jugglers, gymnasts and clowns to seat you for a night of celebration.

Who is nominated?
Awards are considered for both Amateur and Professional / Semi-Professional productions and focus specifically on areas such as:
  • Entire Show / Production
  • Acting / Performances
  • Technical / Design

Introducing Our MC
This year's MC is the wonderful Amelia Ryan - a Cabaret Artist, Writer, Presenter, Speaker and Coach, known for her quick-wit, charisma and quirk.

A Musical Theatre Actress by trade, Amelia quickly traded in 'Song and Dance' for 'Comedy and Cabaret', when she realized her ability to do a time-step (or ANY step) paled in comparison to her knack for cracking smart-ass jokes.

In 2011, she penned and produced her autobiographical, one-woman show; 'A Storm in a D Cup'. Selling out houses in Melbourne, Sydney and Wollongong, the show went on to win the 2012 Sydney Fringe Springboard Prize for most promising performer, and co-win the 2012 Australian Cabaret showcase. In 2013, she toured to Australia's major cabaret festivals; Melbourne, Noosa, Ballarat and Adelaide, and was then invited to take the show to the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival. In 2014, she won the Fringe Weekly award for Best Cabaret during her season in the Garden Of Unearthly Delights.

A sought after presenter and MC, Amelia cemented her skills through NIDA's one year presenter program. She co-hosted the 2013 Mardi Gras for Inside Out TV, is a regular presenter on Car Tell TV, and has MC'd for Better Homes and Gardens Live, The Australian Burlesque Festival, The International Cabaret Contest and The Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Now based in Adelaide (and loving it!), she's having a ball making her mark on this fabulous city. Described as having a 'big heart behind her impressive front' (Adelaide Now), she's running a coaching and mentoring business, inspiring women to celebrate their own story and shine. She has a new show set to tour in 2015, is chipping away at a book, and is passionate about living a life of purpose, playfulness and positivity!

Once again, the night will include special 'preview' performances from some fantastic upcoming theatre productions.

Ticket includes: 3 Course Meal, drink on arrival and entertainment, and "Curtain Call" Awards presentations.
