What is the 24 Hour Show?
Our mission is to promote the value of live theatre to the Adelaide community by uniting South Australian artists in a unique and rewarding experience.
What better way to encourage involvement in Adelaide's theatre community than to challenge performers and crew and excite audiences with this unique opportunity on a grand scale?
The 24 Hour Show will start at 8pm on Friday 12th February 2010 when the media, potential audiences, participants and other members of the arts community gather at the theatre to hear the announcement of the show, which until this time has been a secret shared by only 3 people. Once the show is announced everyone has just 24 hours to produce the nominated full length musical!
This means auditioning, casting, costumes, sets, lighting, sound and music etc all have to be completed in just 24 hours. It's all hands on deck and organized mayhem ensues!
At 8pm on Saturday 13th February, 2010 the doors open to a paying audience for what is hopefully a very entertaining production.
Featuring special celebrity guest Rhett Biglands (ex Crows player and SAFM presenter) the 24 Hour Show provides a great opportunity for this industry and its audiences to network, learn new skills and share resources as well as enjoy the challenge and fun of this unique concept.
All proceeds will go to the CanDo Group of Charities to provide much needed programs and services throughout South Australia for children and adults with sensory impairments.
This is the ultimate adrenaline rush for performers, crew and orchestra!! From audition to performance in 24 Hours, have you got what it takes? Not up for the challenge? Never fear, book your tickets now to watch the hilarity.
