Venture Theatre Co Inc. is currently based at Marino, performing at the Marino Community Hall, 44 Newland Rd, Marino.
Venture Facts:
Rehearsals are held Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm - 10.00pm.
When a production is in rehearsals we hold Working Bees every second Saturday from 10.30am - 4.30pm. This includes set design and making props. Cast members are encouraged to attend.
About Venture:
Venture Theatre Company Inc. was founded in August 1975. Over the years we have entertained our audiences with a variety of high quality productions including comedies, mysteries, melodramas and pantomimes.
We have recently branched out some more to host workshops for children to develop stagecraft and characterisation skills.
As well as our own productions, we have been involved in various community projects from One Act Play Festivals to travelling entertainment for Senior Citizens Homes, schools and country audiences.
To stay fresh, up to date and innovative we often use current locally written material.
Venture is very proud to have continued for so long and that many of our members have gone on to be involved in the professional entertainment industry. The faces change but the dedication and enthusiasm for creating and presenting excellent shows remains.
