The Little Fish were formed in 2011 by dedicated group of local actors from the southern suburbs. Our debut production was 'Much Ado About Nothing' in the old stables at Penny's Hill Winery. Since then they have produced two Shakespeare productions each year and are Adelaide's only dedicated Shakespeare performance group.
With their focus on their 'Raw Shakespeare Project' they produce true-to-period productions with a focus on characters and story-telling on a bare stage or unique space, in a style they feel respects how these plays may have been performed 400 years ago. They have become know for the emotion and cheekiness of their productions and have brought enjoyment of Shakespeare to many people who were sure they would never like his work.
The Little Fish is a performance arm of JamaeRaw Performing Arts.
